DIY School Station – After

We are currently homeschooling, and this station has become a great landing spot for a lot of our school supplies.  Even though my kids will be going back to a school in January, I plan to keep this a part of our home in our main living area.  Hey, when you want to find a pencil it’s nice to know where to look!

Yesterday I gave the the back story and some pictures of the before.

Drum roll please…here is the AFTER.
I am a big believer in extra lamps, they warm up the space especially on dark winter nights.  I snatched up the red bin from TJ Maxx, it is a perfect spot for clipboards and dry erase boards.  Or, it would make an excellent spot for in and out papers from school.
I am in love with my calendar.  Found this at an adorable home store in my hometown.
What is that cute little thing doing on the side of the dresser???  This would be my best purchase ever….a manual pencil sharpener.  We went through many options before landing on this one.  Or should I say we broke and destroyed many prior options whether manual or electric.
So far…this one is going strong, and momma is happy!!!
I had my hubby affix it to the top of the dresser and here it sits awaiting!!!  Get one now and you will be so glad you did.  If you have kids doing homework you will be glad you invested in one of these beauties.  I found mine at Staples…thank you Staples from the bottom of my heart!
New knobs…thanks to Target.
Now it is time to take a peek inside…behind drawer #1…

Behind drawer #2…library books and misc. learning supplies.

And behind drawer #3…a spot for randoms that just needed a place to call home.
So with a great set up you can quickly say…kids do your homework!
*KISS – Create a school station to help support your children as they work through their school work.
