In our old home, I used to have “Cleaning Kits” in each of my bathrooms.  Our new home didn’t provide me with that same option – the cupboards weren’t tall enough for me to fit the kits in.  So, I came up with a new, but old system…

This is my “Traveling Cleaning Kit.”  Isn’t she pretty?

She sits under my kitchen sink and is ready to go at all times.  I have found, that when I carry her around with me, I actually stay more focused on my cleaning.  I guess it is sort of like carrying a toolbox.  I’ll be honest, I am a very distracted cleaner and tend to get interrupted with well, you name it….

My side kick reminds me that we are supposed to be cleaning.  She’s nice about it though.

The five essentials that you should grab to make your own “Traveling Cleaning Kit” include: All Purpose Cleaner, Glass Cleaner, Wood Polish, Abrasive Cleaner (Kitchen/Bath) and Floor Cleaner.  Along with sponges, and/or rags.  Keep it simple and try to keep your supplies steamlined.

I also have a stack of towels ready to wipe, dust, and wash whatever needs my touch.

I do keep a few other cleaning supplies under my kitchen sink as well.  But what I have in here makes it very easy for me to clean through the majority of my home.

And, yes, I whistle while I work.
