Today is the big reveal day!!! About five weeks ago I shared with you how I had decided to join the One Room Challenge Party. Well…I’ve blinked and the five weeks is already up!
Are you ready to see the (almost) finished project?

To recap for you, here is the before…

I wanted the pocket office to be a room that could work double duty. An office for me and a mudroom/command center for everyone. I wanted this room to have some style and decor, but also provide lots of practicality for our entire family. From storage solutions to an inviting work space – this office needs to work full-time! And now it can!
Almost everything is checked off of the wish list. And if not, it will be done very soon. Whew!
Pocket Office – Wish List
Mail In/Out system– baskets on wallFamily communication (weekly schedule, groceries, activities etc.)– chalkboards & message boardsHooks for purses/coats/bags– check and check- Knobs for the cabinets – still undecided
Organize broom/craft closet– see picture above, I’m so happy!Paint!!! (Stripes?)– stripes it is! I love that we get to see a few of the stripes from the kitchenCafe curtain for the window– the perfect amount of privacy and color- Organize all of the cabinets and drawers – in process
Change/update lighting?– decided to leave “as-is,” pendants seemed like too much for the small space

I found almost everything at Target or Home Goods, or I used things that I already had. I painted the stripes onto the existing color of our home’s main paint color, so the room ties in nicely with the living areas. Lastly, I shared how I organized the drawer over at Organizing Junkie, be sure to check that out!
