Episode 53: Hospitality | Hosting with Variety
In this episode, I invited my friend Jennie to join me. Jennie and I met when we were both living overseas. In Portugal, Jennie was in full hosting mode, in fact it was her job! She would often entertain up to 6-7 times per month.
I like how she touched on hybrid entertaining and how creating a more casual setting helps to increase a sense of connection. We discuss the differences between cultures and how opening up our homes (to other cultures) helps to build bridges.
As a trained chef she also shared practical tips for how to host well. The key she says is to offer variety with what you serve. This will help your guests to feel more comfortable. And most importantly she says you need to relax!!!
